Life at the parish

Worship is central to the life of the church.

Liturgy, which shapes our worship, is “the work of the people.”  St. Anne’s Parish has multiple volunteer opportunities and invites you to share your gifts and talents.

  • Altar Guild prepares the church for worship.

  • Flower ministry supports the Altar Guild by preparing the flowers for the altar each Sunday.  Parishioners help this ministry by commemorating anniversaries, birthdays, or memorials with alter flowers.  A sign-up sheet is in the rear of the church.

  • Lay Eucharistic ministers are licensed by the Bishop to administer the consecrated elements of bread & wine at celebrations of the Holy Eucharist.

  • Lectors read scripture during services.  After a brief orientation, anyone with a strong speaking voice can help.

  • Lay Eucharistic visitors are licensed by the Bishop to take the consecrated elements of bread & wine to parish members who are sick or shut-in, immediately following the Holy Eucharist.
